1. I find the enightenment and abstraction perod the most interesting. I like how the typogrpaphy meshes to a set grid but doesn’t seem rigid. Some examples ofthis period fonts are Geofroy Troy’s fontthat reflected the ideal human body, George Bickham’s romanpoint and Italian hand fonts, and also Louis Simmonneau’s roman du roi font.
2. The main difference between serif and sans-serif is that serif fonts have more details (tails) at the ends of the letters. This difference can be seen between times new roman which is a seriff font and verdana which is a sans-seriff font.
